Job Description:

The goals of the Field Finance Coordinator position are to:

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions across all KP CSOs.

  • Strengthen financial compliance through regular monitoring and adherence to Global Fund and World Vision guidelines.

  • Build financial capacity within KP CSOs to maintain high standards of financial management and reporting.

  • Mitigate financial risks through active support in budget monitoring and internal controls.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Compliance and Monitoring:

  • Conduct periodic financial monitoring visits to each KP CSO, ensuring compliance with Global Fund financial policies, guidelines, and local laws.

  • Support KP CSOs in implementing financial policies effectively, reducing compliance gaps.

  • Oversee timely transactions for operational expenses at KP CSOs, such as utilities, repairs, and fuel, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.

  • Facilitate and verify accurate fund disbursement records, maintaining consistency with Global Fund and World Vision standards.

  • Provide finance training to KP CSO staff, with an emphasis on budgeting, record-keeping, and compliance.

  • Work with KP CSOs and Project HOPE to monitor fund disbursement, budget utilization, and identify budget variances to maintain financial control.

  • Support KP CSOs in preparing monthly financial reports, ensuring alignment with Global Fund and World Vision reporting requirements.

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement robust internal controls to mitigate identified financial risks within each CSO.

  • Follow up on risk mitigation actions, recommending improvements where needed.

Key Deliverables:

  • Comprehensive financial reports for each CSO, prepared monthly.

  • Documentation of all completed financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established guidelines.

  • Quarterly compliance assessments for each CSO, with corrective actions documented and implemented.

  • Risk assessment reports for each CSO, with corresponding action plans and tracking of progress.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, grant oversight, or compliance roles, ideally within NGOs or donor-funded projects.

  • Familiarity with Global Fund financial guidelines and donor-funded program requirements.

  • Proven experience in financial monitoring, budget management, and capacity-building initiatives.

  • Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated ability to provide on-site training and support to partner organizations.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to various CSO locations as required.
