Join Maxis as a Fiber Planning Intern, where you will gain hands-on experience supporting the planning, optimisation, and digitalisation of fiber network operations. This role offers exposure to fiber planning processes, costing and budgeting, inventory management, and project coordination, while working with data, automation, and AI-driven initiatives to support network expansion and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fiber Planning Support

• Assist in fiber network planning activities, including demand forecasting and capacity planning.

• Support analysis to ensure efficient utilisation of fiber resources.

2. Costing & Budget Management

• Support costing and budgeting activities related to fiber deployment and planning.

• Assist in tracking expenditure and preparing basic reports for planning and management purposes.

3. Inventory Management

• Support inventory tracking and management for fiber-related materials and assets.

• Assist in maintaining accurate records to support planning and deployment activities.

4. Automation & Process Improvement

• Assist in automating repetitive planning and reporting tasks using digital tools.

• Support initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time through automation.

5. Project Management Support

• Assist in coordinating planning-related projects, timelines, and deliverables.

• Support documentation, reporting, and stakeholder coordination as required.

Value-Added Project

The intern will have the opportunity to work on a Digitalisation and AI-driven project focused on fiber demand planning.

This project will provide hands-on exposure to how data, automation, and AI are applied to improve network planning accuracy, decision-making, and operational efficiency.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or Information Technology (or related fields)

• Basic knowledge of Python and SQL is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a technical environment
