Are you an experienced Class 5 driver who takes pride in safe, professional container operations?

We’re looking for a capable and safety‑focused FCL Swinglift Driver to join our transport operations. This role is focused on the safe and efficient movement of full container loads, working to structured port bookings and schedules.

If you’re confident operating swinglift equipment and value consistency, safety and teamwork, this could be a great fit.

Shift: Monday – Friday, rostered every second Saturday. Scheduled between 4am – 4pm, minimum 40 hours per week.

About the role - Mō te tūranga

As an FCL Swinglift Driver, you’ll be responsible for transporting containers between ports, depots and customer sites, operating swinglift equipment and working to planned port bookings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating Hamer and Patchel swinglift equipment safely and efficiently
  • Transporting FCL containers in line with port booking schedules
  • Loading and unloading containers at ports, depots and customer sites
  • Completing pre‑start checks and maintaining vehicle and equipment safety
  • Managing logbooks, fatigue requirements and compliance documentation
  • Communicating clearly with operations and site contacts
  • Representing the business professionally at all times

Experience in FCL container transport and port operations will be highly regarded. To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Class 5 licence (essential)
  • Dangerous Goods (D&G) licence (essential)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience operating swinglift equipment
  • Proven ability to operate Hamer and Patchel swinglifts
  • Experience working with port bookings and structured container schedules
  • Strong understanding of fatigue management and transport compliance
  • A strong safety mindset and reliable work ethic
