The Quality and Reliability department is looking for a Failure Analysis Data Intern to join its world class team.  This individual should be a dynamic professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today’s most exciting technologies.

Location: This position will be based in ­­­­ San Jose, CA.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Support the Failure Analysis Team from Quality Organization.
  • Perform troubleshooting of the failed component(s) to determine the root cause(s).
  • Perform Testing and instrumentation of the test setup to validate the failures.
  • Data collection and data Mining from the sensors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently a student earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software engineering, Electrical engineering, Data Science, Statistics or related or a related discipline
  • Must be graduating between spring 2026 and summer 2027

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Develops and systematically analyzes statistical data to determine standards
  • Python - Data Analysis/Visualization, Automation
  • Proficient with Python/R/Java/Go or similar language – (Prefer Python)
  • Experience with algorithm development and implementation (Python desired)
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Hadoop and REST APIs
  • Conducts RCCAs, prescribes CA and PA as necessary to prevent recurrence and verifies/validates effectiveness
  • Strong independent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate under minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in the application of DOEs and ANOVA
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Databases
  • Hands on approach to get things done

Salary Statement with pay range
Bloom Energy is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The total compensation for this position is based on various factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience.

The pay range for this position $36-50 per hour

Salary Ranges:

$45.75 - $50.00
