Carnegie Mellon University is searching for an application reader to join the III. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. This individual will have a strong understanding of graduate admission processes and requirements to support application review and additional assignments during our peak application season (January to March 2026). This role will report directly to the III Head of Graduate Enrollment & Associate Director of Admissions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Holistically evaluating applications based on rubric requirements (approximately 4 application packages per hour)
  •  Attending extensive application review training to ensure equity in the application process.
  • Understanding and maintaining strict confidentiality of admissions process and application data.
  • Attending all required meetings/trainings and respond to office communication in a timely fashion.
  • Supporting additional admission tasks (emails, application inquiries, etc.) as assigned and appropriate during the admissions season.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
