Join the Faculty of Arts as a Faculty Operations Administration Officer, providing high-quality administrative support across Faculty-level operations. This role is ideal for an organised, proactive administrator who enjoys coordinating activities, supporting senior leaders, and ensuring smooth operational delivery in a complex higher-education environment.

- Salary Package: From $99,161 per annum (HEW Level 6) plus 17% superannuation + annual leave loading
- Appointment Type: 1 full-time, continuing position
- Location: Faculty of Arts, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde

The Role 

As the Faculty Operations Administration Officer, you will: 

  • Provide general and transactional administrative support across the Faculty.

  • Support the Faculty Executive Director, Deputy Deans, Associate Deans and Heads of Department/School, including diary management, logistics, meetings, travel, and materials.

  • Coordinate committees — scheduling, agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up actions.

  • Organise on- and off-site meetings including bookings, catering, transport and event logistics.

  • Update and maintain Faculty websites and administrative systems.

  • Respond to and triage enquiries about the Faculty’s activities.

  • Provide coordination and administration for Faculty-related events.

  • Support Schools and Departments with administrative services as required.

  • Assist with improving administrative processes and practices.

  • Ensure compliance with EEO, WHS, and relevant professional standards.

Essential Selection Criteria 

  • A degree in Business Administration and/or relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality administrative and/or executive support within a complex organisational environment (preferably in higher education), including supporting leadership teams.

  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple activities and priorities with minimal supervision while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrated experience providing high-quality customer service as well as the ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft office and a range of database management systems and applications.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing administrative process improvement.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of finance and budgeting principles and practices with experience in budget administration, analysing data and working with financial systems and reporting.
