Leidos is looking for a Facilities Service Technician with a active Top Secret clearance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Working alone or as a member of a team, operate, service, and repair a multitude of adapted and specialized facility hardware designed to mitigate environmental risk of chemical, biological and radiological contamination.
- Perform routine duties and care of a wide variety of equipment and apparatus including pumps, motors, pneumatic and mechanical systems, digital and analog controls, and monitoring instruments.
- Provide for the safe operation of water distribution facilities in an assigned area(s) in such a manner as to support the requirements to supply quality water treatment and collection, as established by the company and governmental regulatory agencies
- Respond to service calls for failed or malfunctioning systems, troubleshoot and diagnose the root cause and provide corrective action, repair, or replacement of component parts or full systems.
- Maintain operational records, logs, and service reports for assigned hardware and systems, providing customer reports to accurately communicate status and service requirements
- Schedule and coordinate logistical, labor, or subcontractor support required for sustainment and service operations.
- Performs related field and laboratory tests necessary to monitor and control facilities
- Makes necessary adjustments to equipment, processes, and chemical feeders, as test results may indicate and as instructed by the Facility Operator/Supervisor
- Responds to customer service calls, provide remote technical feedback and information as required.
- Trains other employees in the operation and care of facilities including maintenance, repairs, laboratory work, and safety, as required
- Responsible for monitoring pH, Free Chlorine, Total Chlorine, Phosphates as well as performing other water testing and analysis
- Performing all diagnostics and analysis to troubleshoot and repair equipment in a timely and efficient manner
- Assisting other employees with the delivery and installation of products/equipment
- Maintaining company vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Communicating positively with customers and maintaining positive public relations for the company
Basic Qualifications
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have active Top Secret security clearance.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule outside of the normal 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. hours when the work load dictates doing so.
• Ability to lift 50lbs routinely
• Ability to communicate and interact with technical staff at all levels in a team-based environment.
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification for the collection of drinking water samples required under current Safe Drinking Water Act.
- Association of Board of Certifications (ABC) Certification for Distribution Operators credentials.
- Related Associates degree and/or demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate products, processes and related performance.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products and ability to learn new software and systems.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical, pneumatic, and/or electrical systems service including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Facilities service experience

Pay Range:
Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
