Facilities Maintenance Technician-JLL
What this job involves:
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will support the hands-on maintenance and operation of a commercial office and lab facility. In this role, you will help maintain building systems and support general facility operations while learning from senior technicians. By assisting with routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and facility upkeep, you will ensure a safe and compliant environment. Your activities will directly contribute to JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional facility management services, reflecting our culture of collaboration, locally and across the globe.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Conduct routine building inspections and perform basic maintenance rounds within the facility.
Assist senior technicians with preventative maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment, lighting systems, and other building infrastructure.
Perform general facility maintenance, including minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
Monitor the Building Automation System (BAS) for alerts and report any abnormal conditions to senior staff.
Complete work orders and maintenance logs accurately and in a timely manner using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and industry safety standards.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
5 years of experience in building maintenance, facility operations, or a related field.
Proven mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
Strong attention to detail and an ability to follow detailed procedures.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
A trade school diploma or relevant technical certification.
Basic computer skills for use with work order systems and documentation.
CMMS knowledge.
A proactive mindset and a desire for continuous improvement, as we embrace more innovative ways of working and prioritize opportunities to strengthen and advance your career.
