Purpose of the Role

The Facilities Coordinator & Security Engineer Specialist is responsible for implementing APM Terminals’ global technical guidelines with a strong focus on Security systems, OT infrastructure, and engineering project execution.
This role supports the terminal by maintaining high‑reliability security systems, designing and deploying engineering solutions, and ensuring compliance with APMT standards.

Key Responsibilities

Security Systems & CCTV

  • Maintain current and future CCTV infrastructure (238 cameras integrated with Milestone, 32 cameras using Davantis analytics, Magos radar system, 50+ electronic cabinets).
  • Update all CCTV components to APMT standards ensuring reliability and consistency.
  • Explore, design and implement new surveillance technologies (e.g., under‑vehicle inspection systems, reefer platform monitoring, yard surveillance, and other advanced security solutions).

Access Control Systems

  • Maintain and improve Access Control architectures, including systems for gates, pedestrians, and machinery.
  • Ensure proper operation of controllers, biometric/RFID readers, power supplies, I/O modules, network components, and related equipment.

Engineering & Technical Support

  • Design, develop, and deploy engineering solutions across diverse technical environments.
  • Provide technical guidance to Operations, Maintenance, and HSSE teams.
  • Lead technical design, development, testing, and proposal preparation for engineering projects.
  • Supervise proper implementation of O&M procedures and manuals.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including defect elimination and process optimization based on LEAN methodologies.

Project & Workload Management

  • Evaluate, organize, and prioritize tasks based on the Master Schedule.
  • Coordinate internal/external teams involved in engineering projects or maintenance services.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Electronics, Industrial Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of technical experience in ports, mining, steel, manufacturing, or similar industrial environments.
  • Strong problem‑solving ability, especially under pressure.
  • Experience conducting technical training.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Customer-oriented mindset.
  • Fluency in English and local language.
