The Export Customer team is NZTE's critical first point of contact for customer enquiries and new customers providing outstanding customer support, solutions and realistic support to New Zealand's businesses helping them grow bigger, better, faster.
You will be part of a highly collaborative and fast paced team that is tasked with equipping New Zealand companies to thrive through the early stages of their internationalisation journey.
What you’ll be doing
You will be part of a highly collaborative and fast paced team that is tasked with equipping New Zealand companies to thrive through the early stages of their internationalisation journey. As the first connection point for NZTE customers, you are focused on delivering and building an excellent experience with sound commercial advice that exceeds customers’ expectations. You will act as a navigator of NZ Inc. and advisor to business leaders across the full spectrum of industries in New Zealand, preparing and equipping them to focus, accelerate and execute on their international business goals.
Please note, this role is known internally as a Customer Advisor.
What you’ll need to be successful
Your experience will include working knowledge of international business and the export issues facing New Zealand businesses across a diverse range of industries. You will be exposed to an array of businesses across different sectors and be critical to the delivery of our purpose, having the opportunity to create the first defining impression of NZTE to our in-coming customers.
You will:
- be an ambitious, high-performing person who excels in collaborative, flexible, customer centric environments.
- be technically savvy, and have the ability to navigate Microsoft CRM .
- have business needs analysis skills and have the ability to identify tools that will assist customers in their export journey.
- be an energetic and proactive self-starter.
- have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and responsively with enquirers from diverse industry sectors and business backgrounds and cultures.
- be a confident stakeholder manager who enjoys building rapport and developing trusted relationships.
- be customer centric, with the ability to connect with New Zealand exporting businesses with empathy and credibility.
