The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) organization is seeking an Experienced Landing Gear and Hydraulic Systems Design and Analysis Engineer to join the Air Vehicle Engineering team located in Oklahoma City, OK.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design.
  • Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups.
  • Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Contributes to supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals.
  • Supports system components' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation.
  • Trains others.
  • Works under general direction.

This position is 100% onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)- Level 3:

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 5+ years of experience with mechanical systems
  • 3+ years of experience with hydraulic and/or mechanical control systems
  • 3+ years of experience with basic aerodynamics/fluid mechanics principles
  • 1+ years of experience working conceptual, preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables

 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance or higher
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering schematics, and specifications
  • Experience performing hydraulic / fluid system analysis, preferably using MATLAB and/or Easy5 software
  • 3+ years of experience designing tooling using CAD/CAM software, preferably CATIA
  • Experience producing technical reports and presentations
  • Strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with engineering processes and methods
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • Experience with Model Based Development tools

Summary Pay Range: $91,800 - 124,200

 

Oklahoma Tax Credit:
