At PwC, our people in deals focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring. They help clients navigate complex transactions and maximise value in their business deals.

In deal valuation at PwC, you will focus on providing analysis and valuation services for mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions. You will help clients make informed decisions by assessing the worth and potential risks of various deals.

A career in our Valuations practice, within Deals Transaction Services, will provide you the opportunity to help organizations to properly recognize the value of  intangibles assets -as well as to periodically measure them- in company acquisitions and mergers.

At the same time, in Valuations you will be part of the options value determination process and you will be able to understand the value generation of a Company. In short, we help some of the world’s leading companies originate, create, execute, and realize value from deals. Through data driven insights we help our clients move in the right direction ensuring the proper fair value determination in each transaction.

As part of the team, you’ll research financial risks and develop financial models that assist our team in providing fair and accurate valuation advice.

As an an Experienced Associate, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to identify, synthesize, and explain complex business issues.  PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this role entail:

Job Requirements

Minimum Degree Required:  Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Economics.  Knowledge in corporate finance and company valuation are preferred (not required).

Minimum Experience Required:  1 to 3 years

Languages Required:  Strong English skills, both written and verbal

Job Preferences

Knowledge / Skills:

  • Possesses basic knowledge of (i) key valuation methodologies for business entities (i.e., Income - discounted cash flow, Market - guideline public company multiple and cost approaches) and (ii) quantitative / qualitative analysis of financial metrics.
  • Possesses basic understanding of accounting, corporate finance, valuation, tax and business reporting processes.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth client, industry and market research.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills and ability to prepare / review memoranda and reports that communicate research findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.
  • Possesses intermediate skills in MS-Office tools (i.e., Excel, Word, Power Point) and a basic understanding of other software applications are desirable, but not required (i.e., Alteryx, Power BI). 
  • Fluent in the English language along with advanced reading and writing comprehension skills.

Preferred Education (But Not Required):  Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Economics.  Knowledge in corporate finance and company valuation are preferred (not required).
