We are seeking a highly experienced Executive Recruiter with deep expertise in the financial services industry to join our strategic talent acquisition team. This senior-level role is critical to driving leadership hiring for key executive positions that shape the future of our organization. The ideal candidate will combine business acumen, market intelligence, and innovative recruiting strategies to deliver exceptional results in a competitive talent landscape.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, leveraging your extensive network and advanced sourcing methodologies—including AI-driven tools—to identify, engage, and secure top-tier executive talent. This is a high-impact, visible role requiring exceptional relationship management, strategic thinking, and flawless execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executive Search Leadership:
    Own the end-to-end recruitment process for senior leadership roles, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and cultural fit. Partner with executives to define role requirements and deliver high-quality candidate slates.

  • Strategic Talent Advisory:
    Act as a subject matter expert on executive talent acquisition best practices. Provide insights on internal succession planning versus external talent, addressing gaps in leadership capabilities and industry expertise.

  • Compensation Expertise:
    Demonstrate deep knowledge of executive compensation structures, including STI, LTI, deferred compensation, and benefits. Negotiate complex offers with precision and professionalism.

  • Networking & Market Presence:
    Build and maintain a robust network of senior-level talent within financial services. Utilize advanced sourcing techniques to engage passive candidates and strengthen our market position.

  • Market Intelligence & Reporting:
    Deliver quarterly market scans and competitor analysis to inform hiring strategies. Prepare executive-level presentations for leadership and the Board, highlighting candidate pipelines and market trends.

  • Create and deliver visually engaging presentations that house candidate slates, serving as a strategic tool to facilitate collaborative discussions and decision-making with hiring leaders.

  • Technology & Innovation:
    Integrate cutting-edge recruitment technologies and AI tools to optimize search processes, enhance candidate experience, and improve efficiency.

  • Vendor Management:
    Manage relationships with retained search firms and assessment providers for confidential or niche searches, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality outcomes.

  • Metrics & Continuous Improvement:
    Define KPIs for executive hiring effectiveness. Provide regular analytics and insights to senior leadership to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (Business, HR, or related field).
  • Experience:
    • 15+ years of executive recruiting experience, with a proven track record in financial services.
    • Expertise in sourcing and closing senior leadership talent across multiple disciplines.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional networking and relationship-building capabilities.
    • Strong business acumen and executive presence; comfortable engaging with C-suite and Board-level stakeholders.
    • Advanced proficiency in recruitment technologies (Workday, LinkedIn Recruiter) and AI-driven tools.
    • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge:
    • Comprehensive understanding of executive compensation and employment law.
    • Familiarity with workforce planning and succession strategies.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
