Our team is part of the Strategy, Data and AI function, with responsibility to drive AI Strategy across Risk Management, with focus on productivity, reusability and alignment to best practices.

We’re looking for an experienced data leader to shape and drive enterprise data strategy at the intersection of data management, risk, and regulation.

This role is critical to strengthening how data is governed, understood, and trusted across the organisation, particularly in complex regulatory and risk environments. You’ll bring a deep understanding of data strategy, coupled with the ability to explain complexity in senior governance forums.

Your Impact

• Lead and influence enterprise data strategy with a strong focus on data management, lineage, metadata, and risk aggregation for Risk Management
• Drive Risk Management Data Strategy supported by centralized governance model, articulation & prioritization of key initiatives, foster alignment across stakeholders and clear metrication on our data strategy progress
• Partner closely with Risk, Technology, Data & AI leaders to ensure data is fit for purpose, compliant, and strategically aligned
• Translate complex data concepts into clear, pragmatic insights for leadership teams
• Review Capacity and capability across RM to ensure current teams' design is fit for purpose - working close with Crew Leads and Crew Tech Leads
• Shape governance outcomes across regulatory, policy, and risk landscapes, ensuring decisions are actionable and strategic.
• Drive practical adoption of data management capabilities (e.g. data lineage, metadata, critical data elements)
• Act as a trusted advisor, speaking the language of risk while balancing commercial and strategic priorities.

We are interested in people with:

• Deep experience in Data Strategy, inc. data management, data governance, data quality, Service Domains and Data Products
• Exposure to Australian regulatory environments (e.g. risk, compliance, prudential data expectations)
• Proven ability to operate in senior governance forums, driving strategic outcomes and leading difficult conversations.
• A pragmatic, customer and risk driven mindset - knowing how to move from policy to execution
• Experience with data lineage, metadata management, and data governance tooling.
• Ability to simplify complex data and AI concepts for senior stakeholders that can build strong AI-risk culture across the Group.
