The Distribution Finance team is part of the broader Bankwest Finance function and is responsible for partnering with senior business leaders and the BW Leadership Team to support the delivery of key transformation objectives through strategic financial management, with a focus on expense optimisation, identifying and assessing sound investment opportunities and setting a clear strategic agenda on financial transformation. The team partners with a diverse group of stakeholders across product, strategy, risk, compliance, delivery and all front office functions.

Do work that matters

The Executive Manager, Bankwest Finance has several key areas of responsibility:

• Business performance and management reporting focused on insights and driving effective decision making
• Planning and forecasting focused on accuracy and identification of value creation across the group with a focus on expense management
• Being a trusted business partner through providing valued advice that drives business performance
• Leading and driving cross functional initiatives that support the group and FS strategic objectives as well as leading productivity across FS and business partners
• Maintaining best practice business partnering capability to maximise the strategic and financial impact of project resourcing, business prioritisation and capital utilisation
• Own and lead strong financial control, governance, and risk management disciplines across Bankwest
• Play an active role on the BW Finance leadership team, leading a team of Senior Managers, Managers and Analysts and building a vibrant team culture with a focus on excellence and continuous improvement

We’re interested in hearing from people who value or possess

• 8+ years experience driving the financial performance of a relevant product/distribution business. Management accounting experience in banking or financial services will be highlight regarded
• Capability to synthesise large volumes of data to draw out simple and succinct insights that can support better business conversations and outcomes
• Proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders
• Ability to understand and connect product, segment, and channel offerings to customers across multiple business units
• People management experience with a passion to build exceptional teams
• Post graduate qualification in finance/ accounting preferred
