The Role

As the Executive Leadership Development Program Manager, you will design and drive programs that build strategic acumen, business fluency, and organizational alignment among our director and senior leader populations. You will partner closely with HR, functional leaders, and enterprise teams to elevate leaders’ ability to translate strategy into execution, cultivate commercial capabilities, and lead through complexity.
This role sits within the Executive Leadership Development portfolio and is ideal for a systems thinker who thrives at the intersection of strategy, leadership, and enterprise transformation.
Lead the end-to-end design, delivery, and continuous improvement of programs that enhance strategic planning capability, business acumen, and performance alignment for director and senior leader audiences.
Design learning experiences that link corporate strategy to goal-setting, performance management, and cultural reinforcement.
Serve as a key contributor to enterprise-wide efforts like commercial leader development, business case capability, and career pathing for general manager roles.
Partner across the enterprise to reinforce strategy comprehension and execution, including integration of GM’s strategy framework into new hire orientation, leadership forums, and targeted training. Drive initiatives to embed strategy into key talent processes (e.g., goal setting, KPI/KSI management, performance management, and career development).
Own training and facilitation to support annual goal-setting process including quality of goals and metrics, importance of cascading corporate and organizational strategy to drive individual goals, and consistently communicating progress to metrics
Act as a key enabler of culture and strategy alignment by supporting communication, storytelling, recognition, and measurement tied to strategy understanding.
Collaborate with HR Business Partners, People Analytics, Workday teams, and functional stakeholders to assess capability gaps, co-create solutions, and ensure adoption.
Support process improvement initiatives that enhance data visibility, strategic planning rhythm, and alignment to long-term planning (LTP) timelines.
Manage and potentially launch enterprise programs such as New Executive Integration Program (NEI) and other executive-level capabilities workshops.
Manage the coaching intake process and partner with our vendors and procurement to track, monitor and implement our coaching engagements Lead stakeholder engagement, vendor management, facilitation, and marketing efforts to ensure seamless execution and visibility of offerings.
Establish program metrics, gather feedback, and iterate on solutions based on insights and business outcomes.
7+ years of experience in leadership development, organizational development, or strategy enablement.
Bachelor’s Degree
Deep understanding of leadership behavior, strategic thinking, and enterprise-level business operations.
Experience designing and managing leadership development programs with measurable impact.
Strong consulting, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities across complex, matrixed environments.
Proficiency with digital learning tools, communication platforms, and learning management systems (LMS).
Background in business strategy, change management, or organizational effectiveness.
Experience developing senior leaders in a large, global organization.
Familiarity with KPIs, strategic goal setting frameworks, and cultural transformation efforts.
Certifications in coaching, assessments or leadership tools (e.g., Hogan, 360s, StrengthsFinder).
Improved enterprise understanding of GM’s strategy (e.g., through Workplace of Choice survey metrics or focus groups).
High Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and satisfaction in executive development experiences.
Increased commercial and strategic capability among director and senior leader populations.
Effective integration of strategic development programs into enterprise forums, career paths, and talent processes.
Compensation
The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position, as well as geography of the selected candidate.
