Boeing Aerospace OperationsBoeing Defense & Security (BDS) has exciting opportunities for VC-25A Quality Inspectors to join our Quality team specializing with Executive Fleet aircrafts located in San Antonio, Texas!
This position will support Quality inspection processes with successful candidates having current or previous A&P license, experience working in electrical avionics and/or performing interior work on VIP aircraft. This position supports production of multiple shifts, therefore employees must be willing to work any shift assigned based on business conditions.
Position Responsibilities:
Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements.
Provides objective evidence of results.
Performs auditing, surveillance and monitoring.
Identifies and documents discrepancies.
Segregates and controls non-conforming items.
Performs preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance.
Conducts product review with customer during product or process verification.
Identifies repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiates requests for corrective action.
Implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)
Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of Quality Inspection and/or auditing experience
3+ years of experience performing product or process inspections
3+ years of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprints
Experience using Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Analytical and problem-solving experience to identify critical activities and tasks within work groups
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working with large aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) inspections
Experience installing aircraft modifications to include fabricating and installing aircraft electrical system wiring, connectors, electrical components or avionics boxes
FAA- Airframe and Powerplant License or experience to obtain Repairman's Certificate
Experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry
Experience with Boeing 7XX airplane and/or Military aircraft
Experience with Executive Fleet aircraft
