The University of Miami Division of Enrollment Management has an exciting opportunity for a full time Executive Director, Undergraduate Admissions.

Core Job Summary:
The Executive Director, Undergraduate Admissions - Central Unit serves as the University’s Deputy Chief Admission Officer. The Executive Director, Admissions - Central Unit manages the strategic planning and development of strategies and tactics to attract, recruit, and enroll a talented and diverse student body that supports the overall mission and enrollment goals of the University and those outlined in the institution’s strategic plan. The incumbent provides leadership and direction for the various student recruitment functions, including on and off-campus event programs and special populations such as international and transfer students.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develops and manages a strategic and robust prospect management system, incorporating all available University resources and appropriate admission functions (e.g. Alumni Recruitment Committee, application review, community-based organizations, communications, off-campus recruitment, on-campus recruitment, and operations). Analyzes current student recruitment campaigns.
  • Collaborates with the AVP to play a key role in the planning and implementation of a comprehensive geo-demographic and socioeconomic market analysis strategy to identify potential and current student markets for penetration and expansion.
  • Compiles, analyzes, interprets, and presents data to monitor outcomes assessment of enrollment strategies. Identifies and recommends solutions to enrollment barriers.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of the department’s marketing plan, including the development of communication strategies for prospective students.
  • Collaborates with other departments to develop strategies and initiatives that contribute to the retention of students.
  • Ensures student recruitment operations meet current student and institutional needs. Procures technology to improve student engagement, communications, and initiatives.
  • Develops and implements short and long-term enrollment plans especially as they relate to student recruitment functions.
  • Stays abreast of current and emerging trends in enrollment management and higher education. Represents University programs to external audiences, both regionally and nationally.
  • Ensures appropriate professional development and safety training is completed in compliance with all health and safety rules and processes.
  • Ensures the integrity of undergraduate admission databases.
  • Hires, provides leadership for, supervises, and evaluates department employees.
  • Provides interpretation and oversight of federal, state, and internal regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Recommends and manages budget for student recruitment functions.
  • Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

Core Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in relevant field required
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience required
  • Strategic Alignment: Skilled in aligning departmental goals with enterprise-wide strategy and develops comprehensive strategic plans.
  • Financial Management: Ensures fiscal responsibility, and optimization of financial performance.
  • Resource Management: Ability to allocate resources and drive innovation and growth.
  • Adaptability: Proven ability to adjust to changes and leads/inspires transformational change.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to build and lead high-performing teams, manage complex projects, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Technology & Analytics: Understanding of technology, data analytics, and performance measurement to drive strategic decisions and identify opportunities.
  • Communication: Ability to influence others, articulate strategic vision, and ensure clear and persuasive communication.
