Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President, Colorado & State Government Lead, Government & Community Affairs (“GCA”), District 4, this role has responsibility for local governmental policy and advocacy matters for the City of Denver, as well as providing strategic support for other communities across the state. Develops and implements city legislative strategies, monitors ordinances, and assists in facilitation of state and local government-facing business initiatives. This role will closely coordinate with the state lead on state and local membership organizations. Core Responsibilities
Develop and implement city government advocacy strategies, monitor ordinances, and local government affairs activity. Build strategies and tactics to effectively advocate for company priorities in all levels of local government.
Develops and maintains relationships with government representatives and regulators at the local level. Travel to attend meetings, hearings, or other events to represent the company.
Monitor local legislative activity affecting Comcast NBCUniversal business interests. Work closely with the HQ Shared Services Policy team to review ordinances and receive policy direction from subject matter experts. Execute advocacy strategies and tactics based on the company’s policy guidance.
Assist in facilitation of state and local government-facing business initiatives.
Provide guidance and support at all management levels to ensure consistent and sound local government policy and enhance communication with local officials in all levels of government.
Assist in coordination with HQ Shared Services Regulatory Affairs, Franchising on all franchising activity.
Assist with the resolution of complex and/or difficult franchise renewals, franchise transfers, and franchise non-compliance issues.
Oversee corporate initiatives and work with state GCA to coordinate community affairs activities.
Draft and analyze local legislative testimony.
Develop relationships on behalf of Comcast with coalition and industry trade associations.

Primary Location Pay Range: $198,415.67 - $297,623.51Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
