šŸ“London | šŸ’°Ā£40,000 - Ā£60,000 (based on experience level) + Benefits

Fixed Term Contract until March 2027

Please note: For this particular role, we’re only able to consider candidates who are immediately available or who have a very short notice period.

šŸ‘‹ What we’re looking for

At Monzo we offer paid sabbatical leave to Monzonauts after 5 years of tenure. With several of our EAs taking this in 2026, we’re looking for an experienced EA to step in and provide seamless support to their leaders. This is a great opportunity to work across different parts of the Executive team.

We know that an excellent EA leads to better outcomes for our customers by enabling the performance of the Executive they support. This is why we are looking for a passionate, ambitious EA who relishes working in a fast paced environment where they have an opportunity to make a real difference. We generally work 1:2 / 1:3 depending on the workload associated with the person.

Joining a team of 16 you will collaborate with our existing EA team to keep Monzo running and to continue to raise the bar on what great support looks like.

šŸ”‘ You’ll play a key role by...

  • Managing time and priorities - You’ll manage your leaders’ time in a fast-moving, constantly changing environment by keeping their diaries sharp, prioritised, and protected so they can focus on the work that really matters. You’ll spot clashes, anticipate changes, and stay a few steps ahead.
  • Running effective meetings - You’ll help your leaders run great meetings, from shaping agendas and pulling together materials to capturing decisions and making sure actions actually happen.
  • Staying close to what matters - You’ll stay close to what’s going on across your leaders’ world, keeping their inbox under control, filtering the noise, and making sure the right things get seen and acted on quickly.
  • Building strong relationships - You’ll build strong relationships across your leaders’ teams and the wider business, understanding priorities, staying connected, and helping keep people engaged and aligned.
  • Owning logistics end to end - You’ll take ownership of the day to day logistics that keep things running, from travel and scheduling to team offsites and socials, making it all feel seamless and low effort for everyone involved.
  • Working as one Executive Office - You’ll work closely with Chiefs of Staff, People Partners and other EAs as part of a collaborative Executive Office, sharing context, supporting each other, and helping things run smoothly across the Exec team.
  • Getting involved beyond your role - While your main focus will be supporting your leader(s), you’ll also have the chance to get involved in wider projects and improvements across Monzo, bringing ideas, trying new things, and helping us work better.

🤩 We’d love to hear from you if…

  • You have significant experience working as an Executive Assistant in a fast-paced, high performance environment. Unfortunately, his isn’t an entry level role and we’re looking for someone who is confident operating at senior level and can hit the ground running. (While not a requirement, experience in a start up or scale up is a plus.)
  • You’re resilient and tenacious in your approach to getting things done, not afraid to ask questions to gather context, and comfortable working autonomously.
  • You’re excited by the opportunity to be involved across a broad surface area and can context switch with ease.
  • You have excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to write clearly and adapt your style to different audiences.
  • You take pride in your attention to detail and consistently produce high-quality work.
  • You enjoy collaborating as part of a team and working together to get things done.
  • You have experience using Google Workspace and Slack (or similar tools).
  • You have strong EQ, with well-developed instincts and problem-solving skills.

🌈 The application journey has 4 key steps:

  • Recruiter call (30 min): Our hiring partner will reach out to you for an introductory conversation.
  • Task: This will be sent to you and will be completed ahead of the final interviews.
