The Leidos Health & Civil Sector has an opening for an Executive Assistant located at the customer site, Naval Health Research Center in San Diego, CA. This position will provide executive administrative assistance to NHRC leadership including the Command Suite, Director for Administration, and Administrative Officer.
The Executive Assistant will interface with all members of the Naval Health Research Center, collaborators, and visitors. This position requires communication with and the ability to explain solutions, practices, and procedures to colleagues across multiple areas at NHRC including research and support directorates.
This is a full-time position in San Diego. General work hours will coincide with the standard command business hours of 0700-1630 with alternating Fridays off.
Primary Responsibilities:
Calendar, phone call, and inbox management for Executive Leaders.
Plan, organize, and obtain resources for meetings
Gather, collect, record, track and verify information from multiple sources internal and external to NHRC.
Develop and provide recommendations for completion of mission-essential tasking.
Serve as a generalist for command administrative functions.
Work independently to achieve day-to-day objectives with moderate impact on the department mission.
Work independently on larger, moderately complex assignments and set objectives to ensure assignments are completed on time for command mission requirements.
Assist others in the department as needed for command-required assignments.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required for the customer research mission.

Basic Requirements:
We are looking for candidates who have:
A minimum of a High School Diploma
A minimum of 5 years of experience conducting administrative tasking in Navy Medical R&D environment.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Executive Assistant
Expertise in Microsoft software programs including but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Comprehensive knowledge of DoD correspondence, the DoN Correspondence Manual, Standard Subject Identification Codes, and the OPNAV Administrative Manual.
Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Demonstrated ability to self-start, plan and prioritize tasks, demonstrate leadership, and work independently and in a team.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with military leadership, team members, and internal and external collaborators.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and reprioritize as necessary.
Experience managing timelines, deliverables, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
US Citizenship and the ability obtain and maintain a SECRET government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Interim or Secret Security clearance
