Flex

Events Marketing Manager, New Verticals

New York, New York, United States Full Time

Flex is a growth-stage, NYC headquartered FinTech company that is creating the best rent payment experience. It’s hard to believe that it’s 2026 and paying rent on time is expensive, inflexible, and difficult. We’re here to change that! Flex enables our users to pay rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances and budget. Our mission is to empower as many renters as possible with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense. After deliberately keeping a stealth profile as we built up unprecedented investor support and an enthusiastic user base, we are looking for motivated individuals to help us keep our mission growing. Will you be a part of the team?

About the role

Flex is investing in events as a primary channel for building brand awareness and deepening PMC relationships in its New Verticals. This is a greenfield events function: Flex is shifting from sponsoring large industry trade shows to producing its own high-quality, bespoke events — executive roundtables, anchor vertical events, and resident-facing activations at target properties. As the Events Marketing Manager for New Verticals, you will design and execute this events strategy from the ground up. You'll work closely with the New Verticals revenue team, the VP of Partner Marketing, and cross-functional stakeholders to build a repeatable events playbook that generates pipeline, accelerates relationships, and builds Flex's brand in new markets.

What you’ll do

  • Design and execute high-quality, bespoke events for New Verticals PMC partners — executive roundtables, vertical anchor conferences, and property-level activations
  • Define target audience segments for each event format — identify the right decision-makers at partner PMCs, set attendance criteria, and use post-event data to continuously sharpen targeting
  • Own the full event lifecycle: venue sourcing, vendor management, logistics, invitations, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up
  • Develop and refine the events playbook for New Verticals — run-of-show templates, budget tracking, attendee management, and measurement frameworks — so strong execution becomes repeatable
  • Partner with the revenue team to define target account lists for events and ensure revenue team follow-through post-event
  • Manage events budget with precision — track actuals vs. forecast, surface tradeoffs, and optimize for impact per dollar
  • Measure event effectiveness — attendance, pipeline generated, partner satisfaction — and report results to VP and exec stakeholders
  • Evaluate third-party event sponsorships and PMC-hosted events (e.g., annual all-hands) as co-marketing opportunities for Flex
  • Coordinate with the Partner Marketing Manager on integrated pre/post-event programs and co-marketing campaigns

What you’ll bring

  • 3-5 years in B2B event marketing, field marketing, or demand generation — experience producing both intimate executive events and larger conferences
  • Proven track record running high-touch executive events from soup to nuts: venue, speakers, agenda, logistics, and measurement
  • Budget management experience — you're comfortable owning a P&L for events and making smart tradeoffs
  • Experience attributing event investment to pipeline or revenue outcomes — you can answer the question “was it worth it?” from any stakeholder with data
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and HubSpot for campaign tracking, attendee lists, and post-event follow-up workflows
  • Comfort with marketing automation tools for event communications, invitations, and nurture sequences
  • A builder's mindset — you've stood up events programs at early-stage companies or within new functions and can work without a fully formed playbook
