Events Manager, EMEA – Fixed Term Contract

The Role

A fixed term contract role working in the International Events team, and as part of the global Content & Platforms group, this role reports to the Director of International Events, and the Senior Events Manager, EMEA Team Lead.

The candidate will support the coordination and successful execution of events planned throughout the year. The role requires good communication, flexibility and a positive can do attitude. This position is based in our London office. 

The Team

The Content & Platforms group is made up of four core pillars: content strategy, research amplification, portfolio marketing, and Morningstar’s signature events. The team’s mission is to increase brand relevance and differentiation for our mission, pillars, values and diverse set of commercial capabilities.

This global teamconsisting of marketers, event planners, and content strategistsacts as a centre of excellence, working closely with designers, writers, corporate communications professionals, digital strategists, behavioural scientists, and more, to support our demand generation marketing team and broader business.

Responsibilities 

Event Execution 

  • Support the planning and delivery of live events across the year, including own hosted conferences, regional forums, roadshows, private dining, corporate hospitality, and third-party conference participation.  

  • Provide onsite support during live events, managing attendee experience while proactively handling contingencies, lastminute changes, and any issues on the day.  

 

Agenda & Content Coordination 

  • Project manage agenda development for Morningstar hosted events, working closely with the Content team to keep timelines on track and ensure deliverables are met.  

  • Coordinate speaker and sponsor participation.  

 

Marketing & Communications Support 

  • Execute integrated marketing campaigns for each event.  

  • Manage invitation processes and attendee communications.  

  • Build and execute social media plans, gathering assets and drafting copy.  

 

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination 

  • Coordinate all external event partners—including AV, branding, décor, and media vendors—while serving as the primary point of contact for event venues to ensure smooth planning and onsite delivery.  

  • Collaborate with internal creative services to maintain a cohesive and consistent brand narrative across all touchpoints.  

 

Reporting & Lead Management 

  • Support the collection, analysis, and reporting of attendee feedback to drive continuous improvement.  

  • Track marketing-qualified leads and subsequent sales conversions. 

  • Adhere to internal procedures and business requirements. 

 

Requirements 

  • 5+ years’ experience in event planning, promotion, and end-to-end event management, ideally within financial services.  

  • Proven ability to manage multiple events through the full lifecycle.  

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to build, manage, and maintain project plans.  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to senior stakeholders and audiences. 

  • Hands on experience with event, marketing, and project management platforms (e.g., Cvent, Eloqua, Asana).  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.  

  • Ability to solve problems creatively with available resources.  

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage competing timelines.
