Startup Growth Marketing Manager

What's the opportunity? 

You’ll own growth marketing for our startup segment turning partner access, program perks and ecosystem credibility into predictable acquisition, activation and retention. This role is part of our startup programs team spanning growth and marketing and is accountable for building repeatable demand engines, running experiments across product and marketing channels, and translating ecosystem relationships into measurable commercial results.

What will I be doing? 

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Own the annual growth marketing plan for how we show up digitally for startups, aligning paid, owned and partner channels to drive demand. 
  • Translate partner-led opportunities (VCs, accelerators, tech partners) into marketing campaigns. 
  • Prioritize funnels and high potential cohorts based on commercial impact and scale potential.
  • Define KPIs, own attribution for multi-touch partner ecosystems and build dashboards that tie marketing activity to customers and revenue.

Content & Thought Leadership

  • Create content that drives discoverability and conversion (case studies, playbooks, founder stories, newsletters).
  • Ensure content maps to funnel stages and supports acquisition and activation goals.
  • Test new program offers that deliver value to founders and drive demand. 

Acquisition & Co-marketing 

  • Design and run performance acquisition across startup communities, search, social, display and partnerships to drive traffic and conversions. 
  • Build co-marketing activations with VCs, accelerators and platform partners to improve reach. 
  • Market virtual and in-person events to drive mindshare and customer engagement. 
  • Launch cohort or seasonal campaigns targeting VC/accelerator-backed startups and measure downstream logo and revenue impact. 

Experimentation & Optimization

  • Run a disciplined experimentation program (A/B tests, funnel tests, landing pages, creatives, copy) with clear hypotheses and success criteria.
  • Surface statistical learnings, codify wins and scale reliable growth levers into repeatable or sunset projects. 
  • Create and test guerilla & experimental campaigns

Program, Brand & Messaging 

  • Develop and enable a clear Intercom for Startups brand & messaging guide 
  • Refine and position startup program benefits clearly to the market 
  • Create outbound messaging and tactics. 

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the startups team to get closer to both customers and partners and ensure we deliver value to both. 
  • Partner Marketing, Sales, Product, Customer Support and Customer Success to validate experiments, scale successful plays and ensure product decisions are informed by startup behaviour.

What skills do I need? 

  • 4+ years of growth, performance or product marketing experience in B2B SaaS with end-to-end ownership of acquisition, activation and lifecycle.
  • Proven experience building paid and partner-led acquisition channels that generated measurable pipeline and revenue.
  • Strong experimentation discipline and statistical literacy, you design tests, interpret results and scale winners.
  • Deep familiarity with startup ecosystems (VCs, accelerators, incubators) and experience activating those networks.
  • Excellent analytics skills comfortable with SQL 
  • Operational experience with marketing automation: Clay & Marketo. 
  • Clear, direct communicator who can write positioning, run campaigns and present ROI to senior stakeholders.

  • Prior hands-on experience in either the San Francisco or London startup ecosystems.

The base salary range for candidates within the San Francisco Bay Area is [$175,000 - $208,000]. Actual base pay will depend on a variety of factors such as education, skills, experience, location, etc. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All regular employees may also be eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
