Summary of the Role and Department
Euronext is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Event Manager to join the team in Amsterdam. The Event Manager Amsterdam is responsible for organizing events in Amsterdam, including IPO ceremonies, conferences, courses and seminars, as well as supporting all kinds of different events if needed. The role focuses on delivering creative, high quality events while managing costs and driving continuous improvement through post event evaluations. The Events team is part of the Communications department of Euronext. The team is present in all eight Euronext home countries and is responsible for organizing more than 400 events annually across Europe, in person, hybrid and virtual formats. The Event Manager in Amsterdam will join the local Events team, led by the Senior Event Manager, reporting to the Group Head of Events and working within the broader Communications function. The position is based in Amsterdam, with occasional travel within Europe to support events in other Euronext locations.
Events organized by Euronext are at the heart of the group’s communication strategy. The Event Manager will support the organization of key events such as:
Traditional gong ceremonies
Listing ceremonies in the context of Initial Public Offerings
Workshops and academic events, such as the multi day Euronext education program IPOready
Business or private breakfast sessions, lunches and dinners
Internal staff events, such as the End of Year Party and Summer Drinks
Large commercial client events such as the annual New Year Celebration
Key Accountabilities
The Event Manager will be responsible for:
Organizing and delivering virtual, hybrid and physical events, courses and conferences in Amsterdam, including gong ceremonies, workshops, seminars and large scale events, in close coordination with business teams and clients
Coordinating all event logistics, including invitations, guest lists, catering, presentation materials, audiovisual support, media, webcasting, photography, security procedures, signage and gifts
Briefing and managing external agencies and suppliers, as well as internal stakeholders
Liaising with internal teams such as Legal for contracts, managing supplier onboarding, raising purchase orders and handling invoicing
Organizing events in the Euronext Amsterdam building as well as external venues, across physical, virtual and hybrid formats, in close collaboration with Euronext subsidiary Company Webcast
Working closely with the Communications Manager and Listing teams in Amsterdam
Ensuring all events and materials comply with Euronext branding and marketing guidelines, in collaboration with the Group’s design agency and internal Brand and Content team
Managing event related website content, registrations and communications through event tools, and ensuring regular internal reporting
Contributing to international projects and collaborating with colleagues across Euronext locations, including participation in weekly team meetings
Acting as the key contact for business stakeholders organizing events within scope
Collaborating closely with teams within Communications, including Press, Social Media, Web, Brand and Content and Internal Communications, as well as with Marketing, Facilities and Investor Relations
Ensuring ESG compliance for events and proposing initiatives to reduce the environmental footprint
Your Profile
We are looking for a candidate with:
Previous experience in an events role, ideally within an international environment, with approximately 2 years of professional experience in communications, media relations, events and or marketing. Exposure to PR and social media is a plus
Previous experience in the financial industry is a plus
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills
The ability to work with senior stakeholders and maintain high standards in both the design and execution of events
The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively and perform under pressure and tight deadlines
Excellent written and spoken Dutch and English. Additional European languages are a plus
Excellent relationship building skills and the ability to communicate effectively and confidently, with tact when necessary
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a complex workload under pressure and meet tight deadlines
A customer focused mindset with a strong understanding of client needs
A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
