We are looking for a EU Commercial Data Engineer who is passionate about turning complex data into reliable, scalable solutions that empower commercial teams across Europe and the UK. In this role, you will help design and build the data foundations that support critical business insights and decision-making. 

You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to develop robust data products, high-quality data models, and impactful dashboards. This role combines strong engineering expertise with collaboration and problem-solving to ensure our commercial teams have trusted data at their fingertips. 

The ideal candidate enjoys working with modern data platforms such as dbt, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, and BI tools like Power BI or Tableau, and is motivated by building scalable systems that deliver meaningful business value. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and data models using modern ELT and distributed processing frameworks. 
  • Continuously improve performance, efficiency, and reliability across platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks. 
  • Develop and maintain data marts, semantic layers, and dashboards that make data accessible and actionable for business users. 
  • Implement automation, testing, observability, and CI/CD practices to support high-quality and maintainable data solutions. 
  • Contribute as a hands-on technical expert, helping shape architectural approaches and engineering standards across dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, and BI tools. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across commercial, analytics, and technology functions to ensure data solutions meet business, regulatory, and operational needs. 

 
Experience & Skills

  • Around 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field. 
  • Strong understanding of modern data architectures, including ELT, Lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms. 
  • Experience working with multiple tools and technologies, with the ability to focus on strong engineering principles and data design patterns. 
  • Experience working with commercial datasets such as: IQVIA One-Key, Veeva Open Data, Veeva CRM, Reltio, 3PL data,  Claims data, Digital, Omnichannel, and Precision Lab data.
  • Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments, relevant frameworks (e.g., ITIL), and regulated environments (e.g., GxP). 
  • Experience building or automating data pipelines, infrastructure, or analytics workflows.
