Communication Systems Engineer (f/m/d) - Limited Contract

You will join the Navigation and Communication systems design office team that is responsible for the design, development, integration and certification of Navigation & Communication Systems on all Airbus Helicopters platforms.
Your location
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your role
You will act as System Design Responsible, acting on COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) equipments in the area of communication systems (antennas, radios, transponders...) for different helicopters.
Your tasks & responsibilities
Integration of Communications systems (mechanical, electrical, functional)
Follow-up ECR/ECP progress, and deliver related activities on-time (IDD, Ground/Flight test requests, Certification file)
Ensuring the communication with suppliers for the systems you will be in charge of
Support to FAL
You will therefore have a large and rewarding number of interfaces including major multi-national suppliers, other system teams, bench and flight test teams, safety, airworthiness, customer support, etc. This requires your ability to work and prioritize flexibly as part of large transnational teams. Your technical rigor, ability to communicate and your good project management capabilities will be a key asset.
Desired skills and qualifications
An aeronautical/ systems/ avionics engineering degree (or equivalent)
Curiosity and appetite for system development
Excellent communication skills, decision making ability, and a pro-active approach to problem solving
Willingness to learn and openness to change, new methodologies & technologies
Ability to speak & work in English is required
This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
This position is limited until March 2028.
