Escrow Specialist II

Job Summary:
Directly responsible for all data integrity as it relates to the conversion of escrow related data from prior servicers. This position will work on the tax team focusing on tax servicing, tax payment and tax tracking, along with tax vendor oversight and reporting, among other duties.


Essential Functions:

  • Perform Quality Assurance on Mortgage Insurance and validate MSP set up.
  • Confirm prior servicer has transferred flood certificates to the business.
  • Transfer any missing flood certificates not transferred from prior servicer to the company.
  • Validate Tax Line Set up.
  • Validate Hazard payee conversion and force place insurance dates.
  • Validate escrow buckets for taxes, insurance.
  • Perform data validation on property mismatches, payment inconsistencies.
  • Ensure Escrow Analysis is performed within 60 days of transfer, and annually to ensure compliance.
  • Designs reporting to ensure Data Integrity from prior servicer to the business for payment, escrow coding, missing tax, hazard, mortgage, or flood information/lines.
  • Ability to establish liaison relationships with prior servicer contacts for clarification of data and securing documentation to support conclusions.
  • Establish Tax Service within 2 business days of conversion.
  • Ensure all restricted escrow information is provided to the Loss Draft Analyst within 7 business day s of conversion.
  • Works closely with Business Intelligence to ensure the timely and accurate conversion of Escrow Related Data.
  • Provide recommendations to the New Loan Boarding Team and Business Intelligence to improve conversion routines.
  • Resolves New Loan boarding issues/complaints.


Education and/or Experience:

  • Impute Escrow related data. i.e., payment due dates, mortgage insurance, escrows, and tax processes.
  • High School Diploma (GED) required

  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite and Excel

Physical Requirements:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit for extended periods of time; reach with hands and arms; bend and perform manual tasks.
• The employee will be required to communicate verbally and by phone.
• Visual acuity is required including color, depth perception, and field of vision.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.


Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
