Description:

Provides video monitoring services that seek to create a safe and secure environment. Adheres to MercyOne performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with MercyOne mission, vision and values

Essential Functions:

  • Observe patients via video monitoring to ensure safety by identifying and reporting behaviors that may compromise patient, staff, or visitor safety.
  • Ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff at all times.
  • Document activities and services accurately, completely, and in a timely manner in accordance with regulations.
  • Report unsafe conditions and remove unsafe equipment or furniture when identified.
  • Ask for assistance as needed to ensure the safety of all involved.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and practice safe work habits.
  • Adhere to all safety, infection control, and colleague health policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required safety training and programs.
  • Consistently and appropriately use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Know and demonstrate departmental emergency procedures, including fire, disaster, and other emergency situations.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) - Preferred

Experience Level

  • 0–2 years

Basic Skill Set

  • Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and providers while performing job duties
