Job Description

Provide analytical support to a team of investment portfolio managers to develop and monitor a wide range of reports and analyses of the portfolios.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fundamental analysis on equity investments, leveraging fundamental and quantitative tools, including valuation framework. Work to identify new potential investments and evaluate vs. existing holdings. Collaborate with research sector specialists.  Monitor stock news and report to portfolio managers.
  • Develop, automate and monitor a wide range of reports and analyses of the markets, portfolios and indices. Flag important findings to portfolio managers.
  • Enter trades and work with trading and portfolio manager assistants to ensure accurate entry and logging.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, exposures, and risk and notify portfolio managers of findings. Identifying the factors, sectors or securities contributing or detracting from relative performance. Contribute to market commentary and analysis.
  • Ad-hoc analysis and writings in response to market trends, prospective & current client inquiries, etc. Review client presentations, portfolio summary reports and data requests for accuracy. Complete specific market research projects as assigned.
  • Work closely with a number of internal partners including trading, compliance, risk, sales & marketing, operations and our oversight group. Communicate portfolio strategy, positioning and performance, as well as conduct special projects.

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or other related field of study
  • CFA designation or progress toward
  • Strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interface with multiple teams and individuals at various levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and a quantitative orientation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with a high level of organization and the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Strong computer skills and aptitude for technology, including Microsoft office systems (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to use statistical analysis and modeling (using macros) and knowledge of investment software, such as Bloomberg and FactSet.

Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $80,000- $105,000 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
