Senior Financial Analyst, Franchise Finance

Atlanta Support Center Full time

The primary responsibility of the role will be to consolidate, report, and support the Franchise Finance function within the context of total Inspire Brands. Responsibilities will include P&L management and variance analysis and development of financial plans such as monthly projections, annual budgets, and long-range plan participation. 

The position requires cross-functional support in reporting financials and key metrics and in-depth analyses to help drive business change and results. The individual will be looked upon as a sound business partner of the cross functional teams and be responsible for special ad-hoc projects requiring analytical, presentation, and leadership skills. 
 

This position sits within our Atlanta based Global Support Center with an expectation to be onsite 100% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze, reconcile, and compile monthly financials including analyzing month-end results, variance analysis, prepare monthly and quarterly reporting decks to effectively communicate business results, trends and risk and opportunities to Management.
  • As the Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) lead contact between the Franchise Finance business segment located in Canton, MA and the Atlanta, GA based Inspire Brands Corporate FP&A team and Treasury group, collaborate with all other Franchise Finance team members to proactively ensure process adherence and requirements as aligned with the Atlanta teams.
  • Monthly Forecast/EBITDA and Franchised key metrics reporting ownership and process oversight for the total Franchised business segment, as well as month end close oversight and Flash report ownership in conjunction with financial oversight responsibility for the U.S. Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) business.
  • Key contributor and process owner for Ad Fund (6 U.S. brands) forecast consolidation efforts and the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) presentation compiled for review with Inspire Brands Senior Management
  • Lead Finance point of contact for Payment Services, collaborating with IT and AR.
  • Quarterly consolidation of Bad Debt Reserve process liaising with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence others and streamline processes as well as to help educate cross-functional partners on financial ramifications on diverse options is critical to the success of this role.
  • Lead point of contact with IB Corporate FP&A relative to Franchised annual SSCIF process overview and on-going forecast requirements (work direct with Franchised brand team partners as well, etc.) as well as all for Workday related support data for Franchised headcount related forecast needs.
  • Independently research and act upon information, while identifying areas for efficiency and implementing financial planning best practices
  • Perform daily ad hoc analyses and other duties as assigned. This will be a large part of the role and an ability to adapt quickly, innovate, and effectively communicate are core success requirements for this position.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 Year / Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Finance or Accounting required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 3-5 years of corporate finance experience, focusing on the Income Statement (Actual / Budget / Forecast), variance analysis, as well as project-based management skills.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, or ABILITIES

  • Solid knowledge of P&L and Balance Sheet relationship and management
  • Effective communication skills…and the ability to ask the right questions.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task projects with competing priorities and work under tight deadlines
  • Power Point and strong Excel financial modeling skills are a prerogative; …to parallel strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • The ability to effectively mine data and draw relevant conclusions on business performance.
  • Initiative-taker required…with strong business acumen and ability to anticipate issues and think through creative solutions.
  • Proficient understanding and application of cash flow analysis tools and methodologies (NPV/ ROI / Breakeven, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Oracle Essbase / Cloud preferred but not required.
