Job Description
Position Summary:
Technician responsible for performing electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electromechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. Rebuild manufacturing equipment. May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers.
Main Responsibilities:
Perform Preventive and Predictive Maintenance by completing scheduled maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment. This equipment includes, but does not limit, CNC machines, automated assembly lines, conveyors, packaging equipment, power systems, and test systems that are automated. These tasks should perform following established procedures and using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Troubleshoot and Repair: Quick diagnosis and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems issues. Respond to emergency equipment breakdown during production hours.
System Diagnosis: Use diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical manuals to isolate faults in complex machinery, including PLC-controlled systems, robotics, and drivers.
Equipment Installation and Upgrades: Assist with the installation, calibration, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment and perform necessary upgrades or modifications to existing machinery.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and equipment history un the CMMS.
Safety and Compliance: Follow all company safety policies, EHS, OSHA regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all other relevant industry standards.
Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of spare parts and tools, initiating procurement requests.
Collaboration: Work with production supervisors, operators, and engineers to identify recurring issues and implement continuous improvement strategies.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
Education: High school diploma. An associate's degree or vocational certification in a relevant technical field (e.g., Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics).
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing equipment maintenance.
