As an Intern, at our Denver, CO Laboratory, you’ll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.
The compensation range for this role is $X to $Y, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.
To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:
Preparing samples for digestion or extraction as needed. Tasks can include but not limited to: sample login, weighing, making composites, crushing samples, incremental sampling, product sampling, sample disposal
Calibrating/packing equipment for use in-field or in-lab
Washing glassware
Preparing reagents as needed
Conducting simple water quality assays
Data entry
Perform support tasks as needed

High School Diploma
Currently enrolled in a local University
Basic laboratory techniques (knowledge of PPE, use of balance, pipetting, glassware handling, etc)
Basic Excel skills required
Ability to follow directions and work in a team setting
Comfortable working with strong acids and solvents
Excellent communication skills required
Detail oriented
Prior Laboratory experience preferred but not required as this is an intern position
Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
Ability to work independently and in a team
Good organizational skills and strong communication skills
Able to work in a stationary position for entire shift duration
Able to lift and move up to 25 lbs independently and 50 lbs using assisted lifting equipment
