Environmental & Regulatory Compliance Lead – Quarry & Concrete Operations (Queensland) 

 

About the Role: 

We’re looking for a motivated Environmental & Regulatory Compliance Lead to join our Northern Region business and take charge of compliance across our quarry and concrete plant operations in Queensland. This is a hands on leadership role where you’ll guide site teams, engage with regulators, and drive sustainability initiatives that make a real impact. You will be based at our Skygate office in Brisbane.  

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Stay across QLD state regulations for quarry and concrete plant operations, and translate requirements into clear, practical instructions for site teams 

  • Support operations in updating management plans and risk assessments 

  • Engage directly with regulators on environmental, biosecurity, and compliance matters 

  • Champion environmental and sustainability innovation across the business 

  • Deliver training and keep operational staff up to date with compliance requirements 

  • Assist sites with audit preparation, reviews, and execution of outcomes 

  • Promote knowledge sharing between sites, highlighting best practice and lessons learned from audits 

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Strong computing skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, database applications); SAP exposure is a plus 

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Problem solving mindset, able to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement plans 

  • Ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines 

  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence to engage at all levels of the business 

  • Capability to read, interpret, and draft complex correspondence
