Environmental Analyst

The Opportunity:

Serve as a senior environmental strategist responsible for the planning, management, and execution of U.S. Air Force (USAF) and U.S. Space Force (USSF) environmental programs across the Pacific region, with an emphasis on mission-integrated risk management. Lead efforts to ensure environmental programs align with both U.S. and host-nation regulations, including the Overseas Environmental Baseline Guidance Document (OEBGD) and Final Governing Standards (FGS) while advising senior leadership on regulatory compliance and mission sustainability. Apply advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise, full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction; mentors and may supervise team members.

You Have:

  • 10+ years experience with leading environmental strategy development and integration for USAF and USSF infrastructure and training operations in the Pacific region, aligning with operational goals, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, DoW and DAF policies, and host-nation standards

  • 5+ years experience with providing advisory on environmental risks, ensuring all work products are scientifically valid, defensible, and aligned with strategic defense objectives, including integrating NEPA and overseas processes into planning for testing, training exercises, and infrastructure development

  • Experience with guiding appropriate level of environmental analyses, and overseas equivalents, for federally funded projects, including project siting, construction, resource management plans, and future-year program development, including significant data collection, analysis, and preparation of required documentation, as well as facilitating public meetings and environmental consultations

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in an Environmental field

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with coordination and collaboration efforts with internal and external stakeholders, including military leadership, regulatory agencies, and partner nations, to ensure successful project execution while managing environmental risks and mitigating operational impact

  • Knowledge of technical defensibility of external environmental studies, recommending necessary modifications to bring them into compliance with applicable environmental laws and DoW/DAF policies

  • TS/SCI Clearance

  • Master's degree in an Environmental field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
