Environment, Health & Safety Support Coordinator - EMEA

The opportunity:

We are seeking an organized and proactive Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Contractor to act as the primary support for our EHS Regional Manager for EMEA. In this role, you will help execute our mission of creating a safe working environment by mitigating human-made or naturally occurring risks that threaten occupational health and safety.

You will work closely with the EMEA Regional Manager to help oversee offices across the region, ensuring compliance with local EHS regulations and standards.

Please note: This is a contract position for 12 months without the possibility of extension.

What you'll be doing:

  • Compliance Tracking: Assist in developing and maintaining a regional compliance calendar to ensure all regulatory deadlines are met.
  • Risk Assessment Support: Execute risk assessments across EMEA offices to identify hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Training & Knowledge Management: Coordinate logistics for health and safety training while maintaining a regional EHS knowledge database.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and track health and safety indicators, organizing data from inspections and incident investigations.
  • Audit Follow-up: Ensure non-conformities raised during audits are addressed and effectively closed out.

What we're looking for:

  • Educational Background: Relevant degree or experience in implementing EHS programs or operations.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with EMEA-based EHS legal requirements and management systems such as ISO 14001 or ISO 45001.
  • Technical Familiarity: Proficiency with EHS risk assessment methods and a willingness to learn new software systems.
  • Detail Orientation: A methodical approach to problem-solving with high attention to detail in administrative tasks.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for fostering a positive, inclusive team culture.
