Position Responsibilities:
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
Performs analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
Supports the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
Provide supplier technical oversight, ensuring the design solution, verifications, and testing meet the product specification requirements
Independently review supplier documentation (Includes, but is not limited to, specifications, drawings, interface documents, test plans and procedures, technical data packages.) for compliance to the production specification
Work with team leaders and subject matter experts to ensure design solutions are integrated into the system and meet lower-level requirements outside your area of expertise
Works under general direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
Understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle processes
Familiarity with requirements analysis and documentation
Basic knowledge of system design and integration concepts
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with common engineering tools and software (e.g., MS Office, modeling tools)
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Internship or co-op experience in systems engineering or related engineering roles
Familiarity with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, MATLAB, LabVIEW or SysML modeling software
Basic understanding of aerospace or defense industry standards and processes
Exposure to project management principles and tools
Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts
Knowledge of verification and validation processes
Ability to analyze and interpret technical data and documentation
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Previous Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM) experience
