The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Job Description

As an Enterprise Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of our organization. Your expertise will help us build robust, scalable solutions that align with our business goals and ensure we stay ahead in technology adoption.

 

What You'll Do• Develop and implement enterprise architecture strategies that align with business objectives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver scalable, enterprise-class solutions. • Establish and promote widely adoptable standards to ensure consistency and efficiency. • Conduct technology assessments and provide recommendations for improvements. • Ensure that our technology solutions are future-proof and adaptable to changing business needs. • Lead the adoption of new technologies and best practices across the organization. • Provide guidance and mentorship to technical teams to foster innovation and excellence.

 

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience in enterprise architecture and designing scalable solutions. 7 years of prior relevant experience. 3 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect or 7 years in a technical leadership role (technical lead, principal engineer, etc.) Strong understanding of business and technology alignment. Expertise in establishing and promoting technology standards.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to lead and mentor technical teams.

  • Experience with technology assessments and recommendations.

  • A proactive approach to staying updated with the latest technology trends. Certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks. (TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect)

 

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Experience in a similar role within a large organization.

  • Knowledge of specific technologies relevant to our industry. 

Experience in lieu of education Equivalent relevant experience performing the essential functions of this job may substitute for education degree requirements. Generally, equivalent relevant experience is defined as 1 year of experience for 1 year of education and is at the discretion of the hiring manager.

Work Location This is a full-time, in-office position at WGU’s office in Salt Lake City, Utah or Phoenix, Arizona.

Position & Application Details

Full-Time Regular Positions (classified as regular and working 40 standard weekly hours): This is a full-time, regular position (classified for 40 standard weekly hours) that is eligible for bonuses; medical, dental, vision, telehealth and mental healthcare; health savings account and flexible spending account; basic and voluntary life insurance; disability coverage; accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity supplemental coverages; legal and identity theft coverage; retirement savings plan; wellbeing program; discounted WGU tuition; and flexible paid time off for rest and relaxation with no need for accrual, flexible paid sick time with no need for accrual, 11 paid holidays, and other paid leaves, including up to 12 weeks of parental leave.
