JOB SUMMARY: The Texas Rangers are seeking a local, part-time ESL English and Cultural Teacher to work with international players and domestic players/staff at our High-A affiliate, the Hub City Spartanburgers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Utilize the Texas Rangers' baseball and life skills centered English-language curriculum to teach the minor league international players.
- Provide English language and life skills instruction part time during the team’s homestands for the 2026 regular season April-September.
- Assess student progress and submit progress evaluations each homestand.
- Assist international players in learning English and American culture and acclimating to life in the affiliate city/community.
- All other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Previous ESL or Spanish classroom teaching experience
- ESL endorsement or certification preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English
- Significant understanding or working knowledge of baseball
- Computer skills
- Able to work flexible hours
- Self-starter
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Able to work in outdoor/baseball stadium environment
