We’re now seeking an outstanding academic leader to step into the role of Program Director, MBA — someone who can bring strategic direction, academic excellence, and international perspective to guide the program through its next phase of growth and transformation.

This is an opportunity to:

  • Lead innovation in teaching and curriculum design across a flagship MBA program.
  • Foster collaboration by mentoring academic staff, inspiring students, and strengthening industry and alumni connections.
  • Work globally across campuses and with international partners to maintain the program’s leading reputation.
  • Drive impact through exceptional learning experiences and outstanding graduate outcomes.

Working closely with the Deputy Dean (Learning & Teaching) and the Head of Department, you’ll provide strategic and academic leadership. With 0.5 FTE of your workload dedicated to the Program Director role, you’ll also continue contributing to teaching, research, and scholarship.

You are a visionary academic and an authentic leader who thrives at the intersection of education and industry. You will bring:

  • A PhD in a relevant management or business administration discipline.
  • A record of academic and professional achievement in business or management.
  • Experience leading postgraduate programs or major educational initiatives.
  • A collaborative approach and strong people leadership skills.
  • A commitment to innovation in learning, teaching, and industry engagement.

About the College

As one of the largest Business Schools in the Asia Pacific region, the College of Business and Law is comprised of five schools – four in Melbourne and one in Vietnam - delivering a broad range of programs in Business, ranging from Certificates up to PHD levels. Many programs articulate between Vocational Education and Higher Education, creating pathways for further study. RMIT Business programs are delivered in Melbourne, Vietnam, Singapore, Shanghai and Jakarta, as well as through Open Universities Australia (OUA) and RMIT Online. The College has an annual budget of approximately $280 million, employs over 1000 staff and delivers programs to approximately 30,000 students (20,000 EFTSL).
