Salary Range: $125776 - $192331 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as an ENGINEER/SCIENTIST in the Global Deterrence & Defense Department (GX), Strategic Systems Analysis and Modernization (GXP), Systems Analysis Branch (GXPV) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high-grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-14, Step 10 (currently $163,514).

Major Duties:

  • You will manage Key Personnel in the division while supporting the Division Manager in the execution and administration of the Division.
  • You will maintain close communication and collaboration with the Division Manager to ensure alignment of Division and Department priorities and strategies throughout the organization.
  • You will work closely with key personnel to provide oversight in areas of training, quality and safety compliance, personnel actions, human capital planning, oversight of corporate data calls and metrics, and administrative approvals.
  • You will provide leadership on the implementation and sustainment of the Division’s strategies such as human capital, facilities, and technical capabilities.
  • You will provide recommended improvements with policy making and procedural standardization that is required to enhance overall division health of process, technical capabilities and standard work.
  • You will ensure effective collaboration and teaming both internal to Crane and external teammates and stakeholders.

Qualifications: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist providing technical oversight in the implementation and sustainment of program strategies to recommend improvements for the enhancement of organizational efficiency.
