Job Summary: This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major Duties:

  • You will prepare designs and specifications for project contract solicitation and execution primarily involving repair, maintenance, and new construction of mechanical systems and other utilities systems with mechanical components.
  • You will perform designs, mechanical calculations, equipment selections, write Request for Proposals (RFPs) and specifications, and prepare drawings and construction cost estimates.
  • You will review, assess, and resolve construction and design problems encountered during the performance of projects assigned.
  • You will provide technical support to include reviewing/approving contractor's Quality Management System (QMS) and reporting deficiencies to the Facilities Support Contracts Manager (FSCM) or the Contracting Officer.
  • You will maintain awareness of current advances in mechanical engineering design, materials, construction methods, and Department of Defense (DoD) criteria.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Interpreting, selecting, adapting and applying guidelines, precedents, and practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices that relate to the areas of specialization.
