Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is looking for you to join our team as an Test Engineer located in Salt Lake City, UT.

To be successful, the engineer must demonstrate experience on inertial measurement systems, collaboration skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What you'll get to do:

  • Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment for inertial measurement systems.

  • Compile data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.

  • Process development and maintenance over test operations.

  • Develop, improve, and maintain test procedures

  • Continuing process improvement based on data driven metrics.

  • Interface with and build relationships across organizations in Salt Lake City, Woodland Hills and other NGC sites.

  • Represent the organization to program office and external customer as needed.

The ideal candidate must have good presentation skills with the ability to communicate written and verbally, demonstrate the ability to lead technical projects, including project scope management, budget, schedule, and overall execution.

Basic Qualifications for the Engineer Test 2:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or directly related STEM discipline with a minimum of 2 Years; OR a directly related engineering or STEM Master's degree with 0+ years of relevant experience.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with MATLAB.

  • Experience with standard Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Experience with database queries techniques.

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications for the Engineer Test 2:

  • SAP experience.

  • Data mining experience

  • Experience in a high regulatory environment such DoD, FAA or FDA.

  • Experience using data for decision making.

  • Root Cause Corrective Actions experience.

  • Six Sigma experience.

  • Experience with electromechanical assembly.

  • Experience collaborating with teams and/project leadership.

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
