Job Description

As a Software Test Engineer for Rockwell Automation, you will have the opportunity to become a part of software team, which is responsible for delivering Factory Talk System Services, that are crucial part of Rockwell's CIP Security solution.

FactoryTalk System Services is a secure EtherNet/IP™ client that runs in the background to deploy the security policies that are configured in FactoryTalk Policy Manager. The product provides the functionality to enforce security policies that are based on the ODVA CIP Security standard:

You will report to the Manager located in Poland and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Identity/Authentication Service - Authenticates users and validates user resource requests. Validate user credentials against the FactoryTalk Directory and FactoryTalk Security policy settings to obtain privileges associated with the user.
  • Certificate Service - Issues and manages certificates for devices in the FactoryTalk Policy Manager model.
  • Deployment Service - Translates the security policy to CIP™ configurations that are delivered to endpoints.
  • Policy Service - Build and manages CIP network trust models and defines security policy for the CIP endpoints.
  • Diagnostic Service - Makes FactoryTalk audit and diagnostic logs available as a web service.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Designs, creates, executes and maintains tests
  • Participate in reviews of documents, designs and test cases
  • Develop automated tests and monitors results and reports software defects
  • Develop test documentation
  • Make sure that team's automated tests have appropriate coverage and are developed in time and scope to verify quality of added and changed product functions
  • Support team's CI environment and approach by maintaining tests up to date, implementing them frequently and reporting results to agreed partners
  • Provide work estimates and status report. Maintain interaction to ensure assigned tasks are prioritized.
  • Facilitate communication both within local team and with remote partners

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of experience on tester position in a software product development environment
  • Test automation experience with Python, VB.NET, C# or any script language (preferred Python)
  • Practical knowledge of TCP/IP network protocols including network capturing, debugging and analyzing
  • Knowledge of the protocols used in industrial automation (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Fieldbus, CIP or similar)
  • Knowledge of any security protocol
  • Knowledge in test management tools (e.g. qTest)· Knowledge of virtualized environments
  • Familiarity with common development tools as GitLab, Jenkins
  • Domain knowledge in the field of Industrial Automation
  • Familiar with Agile development processes
  • Communicative English, that enables collaboration with global team
