This is an entry-level position intended for recent engineering graduates. The role includes Engineer-in-Training (EIT) assignments designed to provide the successful candidate with practical experience in the application of professional engineering principles and techniques, supporting progression toward provincial professional licensure.What we offer:

Minimum Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied with limited practical experience. Actively working toward Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
Foundational knowledge of engineering principles and limited experience applying them in practice; typically includes co-op or work term experience
Proficient in the use of relevant engineering software and technical tools
Demonstrates strong learning aptitude and developing technical writing and presentation skills
Demonstrates strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a collaborative mindset and a results-driven approach

Responsibilities:
Receives informal training through mentorship and collaborating cross-functionally across office, plant, and field engineering activities
Prepares basic plans, designs, calculations, cost estimates, and bills of materials in accordance with established codes, standards, and specifications
Conducts routine technical surveys or inspections, prepares reports, and develops solutions to routine problems while contributing to smaller tasks or project components
Works under the direct supervision and mentorship of a Professional Engineer; duties, procedures, and requirements are clearly defined, and work is reviewed for accuracy and compliance
May assign and review tasks performed by technicians or support staff
Location and other Key details:
You will work out of our Edmonton refinery in Sherwood Park, located at 801 Petroleum Way
The shift schedule is Monday to Friday; 8 – 4:30
Please note that transportation to and from the Edmonton Refinery is not provided, and there is no public transit to this location
