In this role, you’ll provide essential support to a diverse portfolio of Enbridge assets- including LP, GTM and U.S. Utilities.
You will work closely with environmental advisors to deliver accurate internal and external emissions reporting that drives transparency, accountability, and environmental stewardship across the organization. Your attention to detail and dedication to regulatory excellence will play a vital part in maintaining compliance across multiple jurisdictions and meeting important internal business requirements. What You Will Do:
- Routine data compilation, quantification, validation, record keeping, and reporting of greenhouse gas and other air emissions for regulatory compliance and sustainability reporting for Enbridge across the gas, liquids and US utilities business units
- Support tools used for emissions quantification including testing software used for automation of calculations.
- Ensure the quality of the greenhouse gas and air emissions inventories updating as new methodologies, technologies, and regulations are developed/published.
- Analysis of historical emissions data to identify areas for improvement and future emission reduction opportunities.
- Quality assurance of regulatory reporting where appropriate to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with existing/new regulations.
- Collaborator support for internal and external air related information requests and review of potential impacts or opportunities to streamline data request responses.
- Analyze and advise on air and climate change policy development, air field industry trends and standard methodologies as they impact our business.
- Support analysis of and feedback on new or proposed greenhouse gas and air emission regulations, evaluation of impacts, compliance options, and implementation of compliance systems.
- Support the review or development of air compliance processes, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with internal as well as federal and provincial or state regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate environmental leadership by promoting, developing, coordinating, and facilitating environment culture, awareness, and recognition initiatives.
- Proactively identifying environmental issues.
- Presentations to leadership or operations team upon request.
Who You Are:
You have:
- 4+ years experience within oil and gas a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record that will be verified upon hire
- The highest standards of personal integrity along with the ability to identify and assess risk, understand what it means to the business, and escalate accordingly
You can:
- Develop effective, collaborative working relationships with colleagues from a variety of subject areas, levels of the organization and across geographic locations while having a customer service mentality to provide quality service to the business units served
- Use critical thinking and analytical skills to quickly analyze situations, determine key issues, and prepare recommended solutions and/or responses while being able to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
You are:
- An excellent written and verbal communicator who can communicate with honesty and integrity to connect to a wide variety of people, including colleagues, management and regulatory agencies
- A self-starter with excellent attention to detail, organizational and project management skills who can work with multiple projects at once, under tight time constraints
- A proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) who can work in a dynamic environment with frequently changing priorities
The following are considered assets:
- Working knowledge of transmission pipeline systems including equipment used in midstream operations and project management experience
