Escalate emerging risks appropriately while developing independent risk‑assessment capability.
Technical – Specialty Gas & Materials Quality Responsibilities
Develop working knowledge of specialty gas chemistry, purity requirements, and safety considerations.
Review eCOA data, analytical results, and SPC trends to identify potential quality concerns.
Actively identify continuous improvement opportunities and take ownership for defining project objectives, success criteria, and implementation actions related to specialty gas quality and supplier performance.
Support investigations related but not limited to moisture, contaminants, and variability, with guidance from senior team members when needed.
Build understanding of cylinder, valve, liner, and delivery system fundamentals and their impact on gas quality.
Participate in supplier process reviews, audits, and improvement activities.
Apply SPC, control plans, PFMEA, and structured problem‑solving methods within assigned scope.
Accurately analyze and summarize technical data to support decision‑making and escalation.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Partner with Business Units, Procurement, R&D, and Operations to ensure continuity of supply for materials and fabricated components.
Monitor key supplier metrics and provide visibility and escalation to cross-functional teams when needed.
Participate in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and risk mitigation strategies for assigned suppliers.
Provide support for urgent quality or supply issues as needed
Qualifications / Traits:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
2–5 years of experience in supplier quality, materials quality, chemicals, specialty gases, or high‑purity manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with quality systems, SPC, basic statistical tools, audits, and corrective action processes.
Exposure to gas analysis concepts (e.g., moisture control, impurity tracking) is a plus.
Working knowledge of statistical or quality tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Camline).
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn complex technical material.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
Ability to work independently on defined tasks and seek guidance when appropriate.
