Job Description

Rockwell Automation's Software and Control business develops industrial automation components and complex solutions for our customers. Joining our team in Katowice, you'll become a member of the second-biggest Rockwell Automation software development center worldwide.

We're looking for an Embedded Software Engineer. You'll develop firmware for multiple Rockwell Automation products. You'll help implement the communication stack of our PLCs and communication modules.

You will report to the Team Leader, Embedded Software and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Participate in requirements reviews.
  • Create and review design documentation.
  • Program in C/C++.
  • Conduct firmware defect analysis and work towards efficient solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams worldwide.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Automation and Robotics, Electronics, or related IT degree.
  • 1+ years of experience in C/C++.
  • Experience in embedded systems firmware development.
  • 1+ years of experience with RTOSs.
  • Experience with version control systems like GitHub / GitLab and CI/CD systems like Jenkins.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Knowledge of networking, communication protocols, and network device configuration.
  • Practical experience in firmware debugging.
