Major Duties:

  • You will be assigned to a technical project(s) in the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Division at Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific.
  • You will lead and perform professional engineering and scientific work involving the determination, dissemination, and application of position, velocity, attitude and time (PVAT).
  • You will research, specify, analyze, design, develop, integrate, acquire, test, and evaluate hardware and software for positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) sensors, systems, and associated simulation and test equipment.
  • You will acquire, manage, and allocate resources to execute one or more complex projects. Anticipate and define customer needs and requirements for project execution.
  • You will independently manage and complete complex tasks with multiple dependencies, lead others to accomplish complex, cross organizational goals, and mentor others regularly ensuring appropriate succession.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Develop, integrate and/or testing of electronic systems, with emphasis on navigation technologies including Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers, anti-jam antennas, Inertial Navigation Systems (INS), and alternative navigation sensors.
