Job Summary: This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major Duties:

  • You will design Naval Structures using Navy's Design Practices and Criteria.
  • You will perform structural calculations, assessments, and design reviews for naval ships.
  • You will develop structural design criteria for naval ships.
  • You will lead design teams to develop structural designs that meet program requirements.
  • You will lead design reviews of surface ship structures.
  • You will provide technical support to NAVSEA 05P4 and Program Offices.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-3 (GS-9/11 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer leading a team in the planning of structures, materials, manufacturing, ocean dynamics and naval structural design to meet program requirements.
